So as I decided to watch some depressing 20/20 type show about people being murdered tonight, I got lucky enough to see the scariest tv commercial ever. So they’re yelling “Jesus” and shit and then some girl goes “we are the ambulance to people’s souls.” This show is apparently ‘The Lord’s Bootcamp’ or something and well, it looks really similar to ‘Jesus Camp’ which scared me plenty all in itself. I suppose I’ll probably end up watching it just to justify why I’m too scared of organized religion and all of the brain washing that happens in the process. I personally really dislike this pushing of religion everywhere lately…tv, on campus and everywhere else. Not that I’m really decided upon this subject, but I know that religion to me should be very personal, spiritual, and rewarding (not guilt ridden like the children in Jesus Camp). I understand that people need a group of people that they can celebrate and practice their religion with, but it’s totally unnecessary to come recruit young people and scare them into something they don’t really believe in. I could probably go on forever, and this is where I should take a few religion classes…because, what the fuck is right? Nothing. As long as you have something to keep you going I guess. Most frustrating and confusing subject of my life.
